Emily Brassier is a French lighting designer born in Annecy in 1981 and based in Brussels.

After studying Fine Arts at the Saint-Étienne School of Art and Design, she continued her education at the European School of Art in Brittany, where she graduated with a Master's degree in 2005, followed by a postgraduate program in digital arts. Her early artistic practice focused on installations combining light, video and space, presented in exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.

Since 2010, she has specialised in lighting design for live performance. After several years working at the National Theatre of Brussels, she developed an independent practice in Belgium and internationally. She designs lighting for theatre, dance and circus productions, while also touring as a lighting operator and lighting supervisor.

Her approach to light is rooted in both visual arts and stage practice. Over the years, she has collaborated with numerous directors, choreographers and artists, including Fabrice Murgia, Jean Lambert, Vincent Hennebicq, Morgane Choupay, Jan-Christoph Gockel, Jean Le Peltier, Axel Cornil, Valentin Demarcin, Cédric Eeckhout, Julien Rombaux, Nelly Framinet, Magali Pinglaud, Serge Aimé Coulibaly, Ayelen Parolin, Zora Snake and Peeping Tom.

Since 2013, she has contributed to numerous productions alongside Fabrice Murgia and Artara. Today, she continues to work across lighting design, touring and technical operation, creating for theatre, dance, circus and contemporary performance.
